We thank you for your Hsl/LG18.11.26. We have had considerable difficulty in designing the body for EAC-7 largely on account of peculiar chassis features, and we believe Hoopers have only just about got all the details cleared up, and are ready to make it. We therefore feel that it would be at least 8 or 10 weeks before we got the body. Needless to say we will do our best to speed up this matter all we can.

As first impressions are of great importance in connection with visits to WW., we certainly agree that EAC.7. chassis should be fitted with a suitable body before its first visit done here. We do not think the Tudor cabriolet by Park Ward, which you had on EAC.1. originally, should be fitted, as it was this body which did in the 72" springs on that car. Unfortunately a 40/50 or Phantom subframe body will not go on EAC.7 - firstly on account of the cast dash, and secondly, because of the wrong position of the cross members, and lastly, because the supports are in a different place.

We suggest that possibly you could rig up for the time being an old body of std. mounting, and that the appearance could be made quite good, providing the body is for a long chassis, and has a good overhang.

If there is anything we can do to help you, will you kindly let us know.
