To Ourfam E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} WST 46138 E.1/HP.16.6.38. C. Messrs. Hives-Day-Chapman [illegible] Ex.28/38 HP. Chassis Instrument Board and Phantom III Central Control. Replying to your memo Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}7/E.15.6.38, it will be remembered that we raised the question once before of using the Phantom III steering and controls on the 24/30 chassis, and it was decided at the time to wait and introduce these features on Wraith II as recorded in the minutes Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}4/HV.9.1.38 of one of the meetings held at Derby. There is no difficulty about introducing this change, it is just a matter of when it can be done. This depends entirely on when the material is all in for N.S. and on which the new instrument board starts, and what date the synchro mesh and neutral change cannot be arranged in until late, therefore, and for this instructions would have to be issued immediately.
