Steering column supporting tube sheared through at drawn part, against bracket which bolts down on to frame member after running 55 hrs. 38 mins. New supporting tube fitted, this again shearing through at same position after a further run of 27 hrs. 42 mins. Steering pendulum lever sheared through after 50 hrs. 28 mins. This is the first time this lever has broken during the recent tests of 20 HP. chassis. BREAKAGE OF BUFFER SPRINGS IN SIDE STEERING TUBE. Front spring (shorter) = 31 hrs. 3 mins.
