The progress and delays of a rear axle job for a Phantom III at the Paris Depot.

Rear Axle Job at Paris Depot. Replying to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/2/R.31.7.37, the new parts for the axle were handed over to the Paris Depot on Thursday evening July 22nd. The subsequent progress was as follows:- Friday 23rd. Pressure of Customers' jobs made it impossible for axle to receive attention. Saturday 24th) Depot shut down for week-end. Sunday 25th) Monday 26th } Axle being built up Tuesday 27th } and gears fitted. Wednesday 28th) Thursday 29th Chateauroux testers drove to Depot in morning. Axle completed and handed over at 11 a.m. Testers fitted axle to car and returned to Chateauroux by 7 p.m. We understand that during the three days actually devoted to the job, it was frequently necessary for the fitter to be called off for customers' jobs. --------- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M.
