By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} c. Ds. 1249 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.7.7.37. FUEL ECONOMY. Taub of Vauxhall's very kindly agreed to let us send one of our people over to Luton and work with them for two or three days on fuel economy. Taub is making a very extensive study of petrol consumption as he is of the opinion that it is a vital Sales' factor in the price class in which they operate. With our existing products we are in rather a different position, but this may not always be so. We are, therefore, working with Vauxhall's and believe that this subject of economy is worth considering as a project. We presume Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} would like to allot a sum to be spent. We are not circulating the various blueprints in connection with this report unless they are specifically asked for. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
