TAPPET CLEARANCE.

x5090

With reference to R.4/M16.11.31. We have made some tests on tappet clearance and noise. With the existing 40/50 standard camshaft we find that tappets start to become noisy at .006 clearance and at .010 the amount of noise is quite intolerable from an R.R. point of view.

We will get some average figures on the 25 HP.
