'SS{S. Smith}' FRONT AXLE CONTROL.
-----------------------

Herewith we send N.sch.2635 shewing the front axle control and shock damper for 'SS{S. Smith}' which has been designed to meet the difficulties raised by the four fixed engine feet.

We have had to shorten the lever to approx. 11.625", but we believe that this will work satisfactorily. The connecting rod is slightly shortened compared with standard.

It will be seen that we have slightly increased the inner ball bearing. If it were possible to knock this bearing out before undoing the nut retaining the lever it would be possible to use a std. box spanner, but if not it is suggested that the bearing could be pushed off by means of this nut, in which case a special set spanner would be required.

Information as to the application of central lubrication will follow later.
