S E C R E T. X.7770 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to BJ. R4/M31.8.26. EAC.7. I am extremely anxious that this chassis shall be on the road at an early date. We are behind with our improvements, and shall assuredly be left without orders unless we have got the very best thing to offer to buyers. That very best thing, as far as we know at the moment will be our lightened Phantom engine on chassis EAC.7. I understand from Mr. Day that there is very little of importance to wait for except the electric starter. For this latter we are trying to find a simpler scheme. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
