ZENITH AVIATION CUP.
Paris, July 7th, 1926.
Gentlemen,
I have pleasure in informing you that I obtained entire satisfaction from the BLACKMAN PETROL FILTER that I had fitted to my aeroplane "ALBERT" with 40 h.p. Salmson engine; both from the point of view of correct functioning of the engine and of good carburation, the filter eliminating all impurities. Thanks to the BLACKMAN FILTER, I was able to finish the race for the ZENITH AVIATION CUP (Paris-Lyons-Paris) without any trouble, and be assured that I shall recommend it for the service it has been to me.

Gentlemen,
We have refrained from replying to your letter of June 7th, in which you drew our attention to the performance of your filter on Paris, fitted to the Senechal for the reason that we wished to more carefully check its action.
Please be advised the filter you sent us has now been in use under every day road conditions for a period covering a mileage of over 2,000, that at no time has the filter failed to function, and that our experience with the filter is absolutely satisfactory.
We would be pleased to receive your best quotation in quantities of 5,000 or less, inlet and outlet connections to be standard 1/8" and prepared to take our standard S.A.E. pipe threads.
Yours very truly,
E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} P. CLARKSON,
Managing Director.

The Blackman Petrol Filter Co.
Gentlemen,
We take pleasure in informing you that in the 24 hours endurance test at Le Mans, 1926, one of your Filters was fitted to Car No. 43 throughout the whole race.
Car No. 42 was fitted with your Filter after twelve hours of continual stoppage of the carburetter. Several trustworthy witnesses saw the filter fitted and we must acknowledge that it stopped all the troubles immediately.

From THE ARC ATOMISER COMPANY,
94, Great Portland Street, London, W.1. September 10th, 1926.
Dear Sirs,
I am pleased to advise you that the Blackman Petrol Filter which I fitted between the petrol supply tank and the carburetter on my six-cylinder Chandler car last June has proven to be a great success.
Since fitting the Filter I have not had occasion to touch it, nor have I had any choked jets in my carburetter, notwithstanding the car has been run over 4,000 miles, using cheap petrol costing 1s. 3d. per gallon retail.
I wish you every success which this device deserves.
Yours faithfully,

20th August, 1926.
Dear Sirs,
I feel I must write and tell you how pleased and thankful I am that I purchased one of your Filters for my Morris-Cowley car.
I am now free from choked jets, but the most pleasing and extraordinary result is the decrease in the petrol consumption. Before fitting the Filter my average mileage was 35 miles to the gallon, but now consistently do 40, and a few weeks ago did just on 45.
Wishing you every success.
Yours faithfully,
(Signed) W. P. J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} HARRIS (Colonel retd.).

Dear Sirs,
I am very much obliged for your kindness. I have now used the Blackman Filter for seven months without a single stoppage on account of jet trouble.
Yours faithfully,
(Signed) A. {Mr Adams} VERNON BALDWIN.

615, Lord Street, Southport.
September 2nd, 1926.
Dear Sirs,
Although I have only run my car about 700 miles since fitting your Filter, an immense amount of dirt has accumulated in the sump, and I feel sure that you have an efficient Filter.
Yours faithfully,
(Signed) D. {John DeLooze - Company Secretary} SUTCLIFFE.

W. A. {Mr Adams} MACLEAY & SON,
Inverness. 6th August, 1926.
Dear Sirs,
Miss Hardina wrote me some time ago regarding the Blackman Filter I had fitted to her engine and thinking you might be interested, I would like to say that the Filter has given every satisfaction.
Previous to fitting it we were badly troubled with water in the carburetter, as well as fine sand, which necessitated cleaning out the float chamber and jets about once a week. The Blackman Filter has proved so satisfactory that the last time I opened up the carburetter it was quite clean, with no traces of water, but the filter sump had a full inch of sand and water in it. This I think speaks for itself. Please send me another filter of the same type for fitting on my car at your earliest convenience.
Yours faithfully,
(Signed) WILLIAM A. {Mr Adams} MACLEAY.

The Blackman Petrol Filter Co.
Gentlemen,
I take pleasure in informing you that the BLACKMAN PETROL FILTER fitted to the engine of my Salmson 1,100 cmc. enabled me to make an untroubled run, and to be classed fourth among the racing cars. I had absolutely no trouble in the feed pipe throughout the whole of the 24 hours of the "Bol d'Or." On the contrary, I could only congratulate myself on excellent acceleration of my engine, due to the perfect carburation during the whole race, thanks to the BLACKMAN PETROL FILTER.
