Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}4/MH.{M. Huckerby}8.2.40. 25.G.VI. Frame. The frame is the original thin type .080" and on this body the scuttle has been cracked previously. Rear Axle. 9 x 41 ratio not standard, and has old type scrap axle seals at the extreme end of the shaft. Std. oil seals are near the diff. box. Radiator. The matrix is old type now obsolete. Constant loss of water, incorrect hose pipes and rubbers. Camshaft. Bentley V camshaft to EB.3466 112° fitted. Tappet clearance .008" inlet and exhaust. Pistons. .170" raised crown type fitted to increase the performance together with camshaft change. Cyl. Blocks. Cyl. block with chrome bores fitted for mileage experience. Engine Mounting. This mounting has been altered to suit the cyl. block with chrome bores and would require a new mounting. Front. Rear. The rear mounting is not standard and will require modifications to the torque rubbers. Flywheel. This engine is fitted with a flexible flywheel. Carburetter. This has 1 3/8 choke and large main jets done at the piston and camshaft change over. To be made standard with other mods. Heater. Hot air taken from the radiator through the dash - will require removing and the dashboard hole covered up. Front Brakes. Special 4 shoe brakes to be returned to the Expl. should the car be made standard. Water Pump. Large type fitted - should be made standard - large pump to be returned to the Works. | ||
