Herewith the results of comparative tests taken on Brooklands Track with 1.EX Car fitted with high and low compression in each case with a 14-tooth axle. The tests on Brooklands show that a considerable difference can be obtained in the results according to the weather conditions. On one occasion with a strong wind blowing head-on of a straight ½ mile, it was impossible to get any reliable figures. The high compression tests, on that portion of the track, came out considerably worse than the low compression. When the high compression tests were taken for the attached report, there was a fair wind blowing against the car on the ½ mile straight. The car is going to Brooklands to repeat these tests, with a 15-tooth axle fitted, on Monday next. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
