CARBURETTER AIR VALVE PENNY PINS.

We have completely scrapped an S.S. Cylinder head and damaged two pistons owing to the pin which supports the penny falling out and being sucked into the engine.

This pin has been altered from E.72176 which is a headed pin with a washer and split pin to E.76463 which is a plain pin having two pins and no washer.

In view of the disastrous consequences of this failure, we should prefer to revert to E.72176 which relies on only one split pin and this backed up by a washer.
