| X.543 X6027. PENFOLD & RANDALL, 62, CASTLE STREET, LONG ACRE, LONDON, W.C.2. LMR/NH June 29th 1922 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clark Esq., Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited, Electrical Department, Derby. Dear Sir, X.543. X.294. We have a patent Dynamo and Starter on entirely new and improved lines. The starter is simplicity itself, and inexpensive to manufacture. It works with a floating dog and is electrically controlled. By pressing a button the dog mounts slowly, and an indication light goes out immediately the engine starts. We have had very good reports from electrical engineers concerning same, but as we have no facilities for manufacture, we are anxious to dispose of the patent rights, and shall be glad to demonstrate machine at our London works at any time suitable to your goodselves, if of interest. Yours truly, For Penfold & Randall, (Sgd) L.M. Randall. | ||
