To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/MJ.6.7.31. 25 HP. IMPROVED PERFORMANCE. We are endeavouring to produce a "China" unit suitable for a fast Continental touring 25 HP. car. The main alteration requiring parts making is to increase the valve lift. This we have done on 'Japan' with good results but unfortunately the parts are not interchangeable with 'China" and therefore we have to manufacture new pieces. These were instructed in By/CSl/EHL.7.31. Will you please try and urge the rocker patterns etc. We should like two complete sets of parts as soon as possible, one for C.9 unit and the other for C.7 unit.
