X3730 To Ins. HO. O.{Mr Oldham} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} FN. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hmr. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Bv. Ox. Hv. Sp.{Mr Spinney} Ek. NOISY BODIES. I attach a copy of a letter I have written to Mr. Nutt of Barkers, Mr. Lionel Windover, of Windovers, and to Capt. Pelham Clinton of Hoopers, as we have found there has been an inclination on the part of our respective officials to be so anxious to uphold the good name of their own companies that they perhaps unintentionally are too willing to blame the other company concerned. It is of course to our mutual interest that this should cease, and that we should uphold eachother's good name by mutually agreeing to overcome any difficulties which may be due either to the chassis or the body, and although these may be bones of contention between us, it is undesirable for us to let it be known to the customer that we are not in agreement with the coachbuilders. All we need say to the customer is that the matter is going to be put right by ourselves and the coachbuilders, without our giving any opinion as to whether the noise may be the fault of the body or of the chassis. Will you kindly instruct all those concerned in your department? B.J. [Stamp: RECEIVED 9 JAN 1923] | ||
