Coil to Distributor Ignition Lead Failure. With reference to G.W.H's. report on the above, we wish to point out that the practice of setting the rotor blade closer to the sparking points in the distributor head to eliminate radio interference is strongly deprecated. Firstly, it interferes with the ignition which in order to fire over a leaky spark plug requires a minimum gap at this point. Secondly there is grave danger of the rotor blade fouling the points if any bearing slack develops, which would interfere with the correct functioning of the automatic advance.
