BENTLEY TACHOMETER DRIVE ON DYNAMOS.

We have been further investigating the cause of oil entering the dynamo from the epicyclic tachometer drive gearing, and we have found that a breather was fitted to these tachometer drives on Production last year.

We have no record of this breather device ever being subjected to tests in the Experimental Dept. and we have never approved the same or issued standardisation sheets covering its fitment.

An extra manufacturing cost of 10d. per dynamo was involved and we have no proof that the device is satisfactory.
