DERBY.

Dear Mr. Hives,

There are one or two small matters outstanding between us which I believe necessitate your personal instructions, such as the approval for type of extreme pressure lubricant for back axle gears and the approval of the use and supply of B.P. "Ethyl" petrol for such types of cars with which you now approve the use of leaded fuels, and as our Mr. G.W.Todd, who is responsible for the Motor Manufacturers Section of my Department, will be visiting Derby during the week commencing August 3rd, I am writing in the hope that you will be kind enough to give him a short interview, at your convenience.

I hope to take an early opportunity of seeing you again myself but shall unfortunately be away for the period of Mr. Todd's forthcoming visit.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

L.G. Cunnigham.

P.S. August 5th or 6th would be preferable, if at all convenient.
