re 10,000 Miles Production Test.
'V' Series.

With reference to your BJ3/H14/7/25, we have to say that the test which is now contemplated and being prepared by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is on an experimental car and incorporates experimental features, such as the sub-frame job etc. and could not therefore be carried out on a production chassis, that is to say, it is not a 'V' series chassis, but for some other series beyond.

I gather that it is your intention that a 10,000 miles test should be made as early as possible on a production 'V' series car.

Could you kindly get Mr.Cowen to allot a chassis in 'V' series for this purpose? I suggest that if it can be delayed as late as possible in 'V' series it will help us very materially to keep up our promises to Sales re deliveries. We are behind, and struggling to get ahead.

Of course, if this will not meet the case you will have to allot an earlier chassis, possibly one that is on test at the present time.
