| X 323 To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}1/KW. 6. 8. 35. SpectreCodename for Phantom III Exhaust Systems. Will you please instruct for all future SpectreCodename for Phantom III exhaust systems to have incorporated modification Lec.4610. This is important as the original scheme to Lec.4191 resulted in a heavy power loss. Will you also please arrange for the detachable exhaust system, which is now completed and in your shop, to be fitted to SpectreCodename for Phantom III II. We think it will be advantageous not to fully assemble the 3 exhaust silencers intended for our experimental cars for a short time, as we shall probably still further modify the system as soon as we can get the detachable silencer on the road.
