Dear Bill, I am sending my car to Derby next week for various matters to be attended to, amongst which is that tinkling noise which irritates me very much, and which you and Gryles heard when you were at Denna. Neville's car has been at Derby and has come back with a great deal more horse-power. I trust that I may receive the same treatment. I want you to come over here sometime with a Phantom III so that we may try it on our new road, and I also want to demonstrate to you the springing on the Hillman and the smoothness of the V.8 Standard engine. It is quite a nice car, but the springing is dreadful, in fact I think it is even worse than the Bentley! I expect by now you are well advanced with the independant suspension, and we shall awake one morning and find that our cars are out of date. | ||
