To save time I should like to fit up the
freewheel first without the cancelling device, but have
the parts we do make specially for this test so made that
we can add the jaw clutch and hand cancelling lever.
We might arrange this hand lever as an emergency device
in case the freewheel fails - we could take up the floor-
boards and cancel it.
