-2- all, because directly one tried to decelerate, the rear wheels started slipping without producing much effect on the speed of the car, whereas with the 4-wheel brake-system referred to above, the car would have pulled up easily and definitely. I have always been keen on the provision of properly designed 4-wheel brakes. Now, however, I feel very strongly that no high-class car can possibly be considered first-class or the "best car", unless it is capable of decelerating as effectively and noiselessly as does the car referred to above.
