Ha/BM.1/ADD.12.31 contd. -4- SUMMARY The worst fea ture on the car was the brake wear. We hope to cure this trouble by getting heat away more readily with the ribbed brake drums which have already been designed and are running on a number of experimental cars. So far these have given promising results. The number of drip plugs which have failed is rather disconcerting and we are trying to get an improvement in design from the Luvax people. The balanced crankshaft should overcome our trouble with the centre bearing but we think the bearing cap design might be considered. We think the condition of the cylinders is an excellent recommendation for extra oil. Ha/Tm. | ||
