Headlamp & Wing Movement - Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E30.11.34

26.11.34, I have now had an opportunity of trying Mr. Fairey's car, which has been fitted with the Wilmot-Breeden bumper and the dropped front cross member.

The result is certainly a considerable improvement in the amount of movement of the lamps and wings, but I am not sure whether it is very much better than we were in this respect before you altered the method of carrying the radiator.

I agree that we do not want to rush in to standardize this bumper because the number of complaints of this particular feature is not sufficient to warrant the additional weight and expense.

I am, however, giving instructions to the department concerned that, whenever bumper bars are fitted, this particular type should be used, and I should be glad if you would send clear fitting instructions to the Service Depot at Kingsbury.
