In operation the 19 slot armature seems to hum at certain speeds; otherwise, in commutation, etc., it is quite equal to the 29 slot, two coil per slot design. Machine B is being prepared for use on a chassis, with the 19 slot armature and 11° main brush retard, the control being fixed at 120°, the position found for the 11° curve(5) plotted. EFC.
