The principle has many advantages, not only from the point of view of gaining access to the front part of the Chassis, but there is an additional advantage in manufacture, as it is possible to complete the whole of the front structure without holding up production, which takes place due to the Bonnet and Wings having to remain unfinished until the Chassis and Body are available.
