X4384 To EPC. from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} R3/G9.5.21. X.3533 RE "GOSHAWK II" DYNAMO AND STARTER MOTOR. X.3534. With reference to the dynamo for "Goshawk II" this will have to have bearings and nose end suitable for carrying the helical gear. In fact, the nose end of this and of the starter motor should follow our drawings exactly unless we are advised to the contrary, when we shall expect a drawing shewing the departure. If we do not do this we should anticipate that some muddle or another would occur. You might collect all particulars you can and come here on or about 23rd. so that we can decide on some windings for our own dynamos and starter motors. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
