1026 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.1/MH.{M. Huckerby} 21st. January 1938. Messrs. Hallam, Sleigh & Cheston Ltd., Widney Works, Bagot Street, Birmingham, 4. For the attention of Mr. Booth. Dear Sirs, You will recollect that some time ago you sent us a set of bonnet fasteners (suitable for our Bentley car) to try. This matter has rather been left in abeyance and we now find that we shall be shortly dropping this push down type of fastener on Bentley and changing to the Amal type as used on our Phantom III cars. Accordingly, there will be no point in testing the fasteners which you submitted - we are therefore returning same to you. Should you make any fasteners of the Amal type, we would be interested to receive samples and quotations for same. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
