X9410 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (text is struck through) c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} (text is struck through) c. to RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG29.9.24. ROAD SPRINGS. X9410 X3854 We have received some of the latest 12 1/2% thin leaf Woodhead springs. We cannot proceed with the tests on these springs because RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} informs me that at the time we received the springs we had not received any instructions for clips or sheaths. These instructions were only received late on Saturday morning. We also, of course, require gaiters for these springs. We have had PN.{Mr Northey} on the 'phone this morning, wanting to know when we can deliver one of the experimental cars. He pointed out that it is essential that they should have it this week-end because the particular car he refers to has got to be painted before it can be used for Press Demonstration. This means that suitable clips, sheaths and gaiters are required most urgently. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
