SALES DIRECTOR'S OFFICE.
16th March 1934.

Messrs. Rolls Royce Ld,
DERBY.

Attention of Mr. H.E. West.

Dear Sirs,

We acknowledge receipt of yours dated the 15th instant Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.10/MA, in which you ask us to investigate the damping of the Petrol Gauge Meter needle in similar manner to that obtaining in the case of the Lucas Ammeter. Mr. Russell, our Electrical Engineer, informs the writer that unfortunately this idea is difficult to incorporate but he is investigating the matter and hopes to make up a sample instrument to submit to you in the very near future.

Mr. Russell is afraid that this modification may necessitate an entirely new movement.

Assuring you of our best endeavours to assist you in this connection.

Yours faithfully,
For S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LD.

SALES DIRECTOR
