Dear Sirs, With reference to yours of the 3rd inst., we are not quite clear regarding your second paragraph, and would greatly appreciate a more detailed explanation of the pedal to come travel. We agree that the Brakes are in adequate both in lining area and cooling, and are quite ready to put up a further set of the widths you mention i.e. 2" front and 2 1/2" rear, drums not to weigh more than 12 lbs and 16 lbs respectively. However, to give us the best opportunity to put up the best job we can, we think you should agree to the following :- 1. Supply a front axle bed of a shape which allows us to fit our usual front balancing device. This could readily be made from a forging. 2. Allow us to have the chassis at our works to fit the Brakes. With reference to the Brakes sticking on, in the case of your own car, are you certain that it was the expander, and not the linkage. We have never succeeded in making a brake stick on if the expander body has been able to float. With regard to the other car you | ||
