C. Detachable Core

A QUARTER turn of the lock nut and the core is removed with both sparking points for thorough and immediate cleaning, leaving a clear half-inch passage for priming.

The steel base, once screwed home, need not be removed, hence no valve cap distortion or need of renewal.
