SUSPENSION FILE.

SCRIBLING ACTION OF REAR AXLES.

Attached is a record taken at Vauxhall Motors
of the sideways movement of a rear axle relative to the
ground. This record represents a good car.

A pointer on the axle close to a leaf spring
made these records on this paper which was fixed to a
board and covered with a sheet of carbon paper and then
celluloid.
