EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. -2- Expl. No. REF. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG10.10.25.

Their remarks on increasing the width of the track appear to be reasonable.

We do not agree with them that if the road speed at which a wobble is produced is decreased, the amplitude of the wobble is diminished. Most of our tests shew the reverse results.

We have not been able to cure wobbles by running the front tyres at different inflation pressures.

Their theory of the varying angular velocity of the tyre due to its compression and extension being the source of wobbles, does not appear to be very tenable in view of the fact that wobbles vanish on wet ground.
