re. TOOLS. X1027 [struck through]
L6F83 [handwritten and struck through]
Unfortunately a chassis with a very primitive design of tool box in the runningboard has fallen into Mr. Royce's hands, and created a bad impression concerning these fitments.
In R's memo. R2/M9924., he asks us to go into the matter of housing these tools and supplying detailed instructions for actual trays, tool-boxes, or wallets, to the coachbuilders. In order to do this we must have a complete set of tools and spares as sent out with a standard 40/50 chassis, and what we think would be a good scheme to clear this matter up would be for Sales to send us by some suitable means a complete set of tool boxes as fitted in the runningboards, of the best design we know. With this should be all the tools and spares that we supply. Would everybody kindly supply the necessary parts to EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} at WW? so that he may take up this work.
