CHROMIUM PLATING CYLINDER BORES.

With regard to cylinder liner wear near the top of cylinder bores, we understand that remarkable improvements have been obtained on car engines by chromium plating the top 2" of the bores.

We wish to try the effect of plating a liner in one of our Griffon single cylinder units. Will you please let us have full particulars of the type of plating used, the method of obtaining a satisfactory run out of the plating at the point where the piston runs on to the untreated liner and any other information you can supply which may assist in our experiments.
