GOSHAWK 11. REVISED FRONT WINGS. Y3730 Y429 We send you herewith N.sch. 1264 shewing the revised front wings for Gos: 11. designed to suit the revised wheel clearances and 32 X 4 1/2 straight sided tyres. It will be noticed that the wings are made wider to accommodate the latest wire wheel axle which leans the wheels at 2° to the vertical. We have investigated the clearances of the wheel on maximum bump, and on maximum bump with full lock. In the latter case Sales inform us that since this condition seldom occurs, only the bare clearance or even slightly less than that need be allowed for. The valance and running board etc remains unaltered except where the former joins the new shape of wing. Will Derby please modify the details of the wing stays and front valances accordingly and send a set of prints to Sales as it is intended Messrs Hooper's should fit a set of our wings to the limousine-landaulette 3-Goshawk 11. as soon as possible. The drawing shewing the chassis with the wings dotted, and the stays and lamp brackets in full should be proceeded with, and on that drawing will Derby please shew:- (1) the overall width of the front and back wings, (2) position of lamps, (3) sectional shape of valance, (4) the wing stays, lamp brackets and special bolts, and bolts attaching the wing stays should be piece-numbered, (5) on this drawing also should be (1) | ||
