BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}) FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}) X2200 C. to SG.{Arthur F. We hope this experiment is being pushed on, as information obtained from it would be of assistance in determining the modifications to our own clutches. We send herewith N. sch. 3524 shewing the leverage between the clutch operating shaft and the pedal. We understand that BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} is in communication with Borg & Beck directly, and they have sent him a drawing shewing a suggested method of arranging the ball thrust by mounting it on a sleeve on the gearbox nose. We think this method would be satisfactory, but that some of the details on the B & B scheme are not entirely suitable, and we send herewith N. sch. 3515. shewing how we think it w could be better arranged.
