-7- EB/Tid.1/MA.15.1.32. CONT'D CAR TOOL AND SPARES EQUIPMENT. 40/50 HP. P.II. CHASSIS. An investigation of the tools and spares, (on the same lines as that carried out on the 20/25 HP. car.) which are supplied with our P.II. chassis suggests that economies can be achieved as follows:- (1) Immediate Economies. (a) Spares :- The following spare parts can be deleted immediately :- All spare nuts and split pins. Inlet and exhaust valves complete with springs, top and bottom washers, wedges, stem packings, and holders. W.10921 - Joint washer - Autovac Tank. 18.G.74395 - Wheel balance weights. 18.G.75116 - Wheel balance weights. E.9775 - Lubrication cap. D.9109 - Carbon brush (distributor.) D.71501 - L.T. contact screw ( * * ) D.71502 - Rocker arm. ( * * ) 4-Sparking plugs with c & a washers. 1 set of spares for spring gaiters. 2-E.77725 washers for induction pipe. 1-E.60777 Washer for exhaust manifold. 2-S.62261. Felt filter for oiljur pump. 3-S.73425 Filter gauze (non return valve-front axle.) 1-S.73109. Cardboard. B.X. 3-S.73423. Felt filter. ( * * * ) The saving per car effected by these economies amounts to :- £1. 13. 3d. The spares equipment, which in our opinion is sufficient for all normal contingencies, will consist of :- 2-F.81503 Valve springs. 3-G.75395 Balance weights. 3-G.75396 Balance weights. 2-D.51253 Dynamo field fuses. 2-Sparking plugs with c & a washers. (b) Tools. The maximum immediate economies that can be effected are as follows, all these tools can be deleted without detriment. | ||
