CAR TOOL AND SPARES EQUIPMENT. 40/50 HP. P.II. CHASSIS.

An investigation of the tools and spares, (on the same lines as that carried out on the 20/25 HP. car.) which are supplied with our P.II. chassis suggests that economies can be achieved as follows:-

(1) Immediate Economies.

(a) Spares :- The following spare parts can be deleted immediately :-

All spare nuts and split pins.
Inlet and exhaust valves complete with springs, top and bottom washers, wedges, stem packings, and holders.
W.10921 - Joint washer - Autovac Tank.
18.G.74395 - Wheel balance weights.
18.G.75116 - Wheel balance weights.
E.9775 - Lubrication cap.
D.9109 - Carbon brush (distributor.)
D.71501 - L.T. contact screw ( * * )
D.71502 - Rocker arm. ( * * )
4-Sparking plugs with c & a washers.
1 set of spares for spring gaiters.
2-E.77725 washers for induction pipe.
1-E.60777 Washer for exhaust manifold.
2-S.62261. Felt filter for oiljur pump.
3-S.73425 Filter gauze (non return valve-front axle.)
1-S.73109. Cardboard. B.X.
3-S.73423. Felt filter. ( * * * )

The saving per car effected by these economies amounts to :- £1. 13. 3d.

The spares equipment, which in our opinion is sufficient for all normal contingencies, will consist of :-

2-F.81503 Valve springs.
3-G.75395 Balance weights.
3-G.75396 Balance weights.
2-D.51253 Dynamo field fuses.
2-Sparking plugs with c & a washers.

(b) Tools. The maximum immediate economies that can be effected are as follows, all these tools can be deleted without detriment.
