X967 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ROY.{Sir Henry Royce}5/AG.13.2.22 RECEIVED 14 FEB 1922 Prices make the following comments on the Greases submitted to you on the 8th inst. "VASOGENE C." For rust prevention and for preservation. This material does not deteriorate even after long exposure and with proper application protects the bearings from the rusting action of the atmosphere. BELMOLINE C AND B. Our Belmoline has, after extensive test, received the approval of the Hoffman Manufacturing Company who use and recommend it for Ball and Roller Bearings. "C" (or soft grade) is for general use, while "B" of higher melting point, is advised for fairly warm conditions. _H.M.P. GREASE._ Of high melting point for use on bearings exposed to considerable heat and we may say that it is particularly efficient for use in electric lighting and starting sets where it is of great importance that no leakage should occur on the brushes thus interfering with the efficient operation of the mechanism. I understand your preliminary tests show Belmoline "C" is satisfactory, and are accordingly getting a further 7 lbs. of this for extended trial. ROY.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
