To HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
From G.W.H.

Your memo EM/MJ - 4/8/34 received.

We have heard from EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} re the broken windscreen pillar.

The pinion we hope will arrive soon, so that we can get running again. Axle noise will not have to count.

Re 28 EX., we note you are sending Bowering with the car. Please note he will require an authority from HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to sign, etc.

The Bentley has run over 50/50 roads, and has been given a fair test.

We shall be interested to run the Cadillac 16 in comparison with 28 EX.

21 G 1V is at the moment stripped.

Gear box down, clutch out, engine bottom half off, damper unit alterations, carburettor and air silencer under repair. We are trying to make it an RR. car.

We hope to resume running again Tuesday; we will then give you the results of our labour.

G.W.H. W.A. Hancock.
