contd :- -2- for Tuesday morning the 21st. inst. Messrs. Firths will then proceed to deliver the whole 100 pairs of springs. Bumping tests will commence as soon as these springs arrive. The second car for France 98-NK car is being taken to W.W. for R.{Sir Henry Royce} to approve, on Wednesday. This car is fitted with Woodheads 12¼% springs. This car will carry as spares a set of Firths 12¼% springs. If the bumping tests show Firths springs to be equal to the Woodheads, then it might be advisable to fit these springs on to the car. We have a number of cars running in England fitted with 12¼% Woodheads springs. 5 cars are in the hands of Sales Dept. and 2 are experimental cars. The Expl: Dept: consider we are taking the minimum risk if we fit Woodheads springs to the latest design. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
