Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}6/E20.5.37 20th May 1937 Dear Mr.Molloy, Referring to your call yesterday, I saw Mr.Bleaney after your run on the car with him and I gather that neither he nor you were able to demonstrate that the clutch was unsatisfactory. I tried the car myself this morning and, frankly, do not feel that it is a case where we can tell Derby that we require their help. I should not like to say that under no conditions of use could one make the clutch judder on the reverse but I think that is not an uncommon feature with cars with the same type of back axle layout as existed on Rolls-Royce cars for very many years. If the clutch becomes worse and you will bring the car along, we shall be only too pleased to deal with the matter. Yours truly, (A.F.Sidgreaves) Maurice Molloy Esq., Lark Stoke, Ipsden, near Oxford. | ||
