-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/R.20.6.38. As a quick decision, therefore, is wanted to improve the condition of valve seat warpage we recommend that small valves be used 1.3 exhaust and 1.5 inlet. The actual inlet valve as tested was of P.III tulip type (Ex.29686), and we shall be proving during the next few days whether this has any advantage over the normal shaped wraith inlet valve reduced in dia. to 1.5 dia. (Ex.31439), and will give recommendation for which valve is to be used. Regarding the exhaust valve this is (Ex.29687) which other than the stem length is identical to P.III.
