Wraith 4 shoe Brake - Front.

Further to our RM {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /AFM. {Anthony F. Martindale} 5/MH. {M. Huckerby} 13.1.38 Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has approved this project so will you please make the necessary drawings.

Two sets of shoes should be instructed.

The geometry is to follow closely the Girling design of 4 shoe brake, of which we have drawings.

The carrier shoes are to be made of steel sheet, no forgings required.

The shoes proper to be of aluminium. The type of lining will be instructed later.

The tipping shoes are to be restrained from moving about when the brakes are off by a simple device, which will also ensure adequate clearance. We can explain this when the drawings are started.
