X 4477 EFC8/T. 24th October, 1928. The Lucas Electrical Co.Ltd., Well Street, Birmingham. Dear Sirs, Re Bifocal Headlamps. With reference to our enquiry in connection with the above, and the answer ref. FHH/S of the 23rd. inst. from The G.E.Co., Kingsway House (copy of which they state has been sent to you), we are questioning the G.E.C. concerning a pair of lamp bulbs which we have in stock which are marked "12/14 V.{VIENNA} 36 W. Osram Twin Filament Gasfilled, G.E.C. Patent", as these appear to us to be of the bifocal pattern. Do you know of these lamps ? Though probably of insufficient power for your P.100 headlamps, it would be interesting to know if they wre in any way suitable for a trial in these kamps. In the lamps referred to, each of the filaments is connected between one of the double contacts and the lamp cap, thus providing for two-way switching. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
