(3)

(1) Spark from Bosch Z.R. 6 magneto.
(2) " " Bosch Z.A. 2 Motor cycle. type magneto.
(3) " " Bosch Z.R. 6 magneto in conjunction with a high tension condenser.

All the sparks have been observed on both gaps, for both advanced and retarded positions, also for three magneto speeds. The three speeds were 150, 600 and 2000 R.P.M. for the Bosch Z.R.6 and 200, 600 and 2000 R.P.M. for the Bosch Z.A.2

The nomenclature used for the various sparks will be understood from the example.

Z.R.6 /C/2000/7/R/A.{Mr Adams}

in which is specified
(1) The magneto (Z.R.6)
(2) The condenser (C)
(3) The speed. (2000 R.P.M.)
(4) The length of gap(7 mm.)
(5) Advance or retard (A or R)
(6) The gap (A or B)

The following are sketches of the various sparks observed together with remarks upon these:-
Some further remarks are attached after the sketches
