ADJUSTMENTS FOR CUSTOMERS.

SERVO ADJUSTMENT at 5,000 miles.
(1) Wear on the servo can be detected by lightly depressing the brake pedal with the hand. There will be a small initial movement before the rods to the rear brakes start to move. This indicates the servo clearance. When this movement exceeds 3/8 at the centre of the pedal, the servo requires adjustment. This should be carried out by tightening the nut on the end of the shaft carrying the servo. This should be rotated until the pedal movement required to take up the servo clearance is reduced to about .187".

REAR BRAKE ADJUSTMENT.
(2) Wear on the rear brake shoes will make itself evident by the increased pedal travel resulting therefrom. When the pedal travel becomes greater than 2.5", the rear brakes require adjustment. This is carried out by reducing the length of the rods under the rear axle by means of the adjustment provided.

FRONT BRAKES.
(3) No indication of wear on the front brakes will be obtained from the pedal travel. Periodically the front wheel brakes should be tested for wear by pushing the hooked levers on the front axle towards the rear of the car. The movement of the centre of the pins in these levers should be accurately measured and if it exceeds 1.25", one notch adjustment should be taken up on the camshaft. To take up one notch adjustment, the split pin should be removed from the castellated nut contd :-
