Bentley 50 Body. We told Messrs.Park Ward that we should want a body for 1.B.50 and explained to them how they could modify the dummy chassis of B.3. for this purpose by inserting 6" in the centre of the chassis cross and side members. We shall give them direct instructions about this as soon as they have completed the second dummy chassis for B.3. at the same time sending them a drawing of the body. It is interesting to note that they tell us that a vertical dropping division is very much cheaper than the tilt and drop division, such as we use on our Rolls-Royce bodies. We likewise told them that this body should represent the construction which they would offer us on production in the £150 body, and we should like to have a brief specification of what it would consist.
